✧ Virtue of Prayer When People Stop for Rest at Night

حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ظِبْيَانَ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

ثَلَاثَةٌ يُحِبُّهُمُ اللهُ، وَثَلَاثَةٌ يُبْغِضُهُمُ اللهُ، أَمَّا الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّهُمُ اللهُ، فَقَوْمٌ سَارُوا لَيْلَتَهُمْ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ النَّوْمُ أَحَبَّ إِلَى أَحَدِهِمْ مِمَّا يَعْدِلُ بِهِ نَزَلُوا فَوَضَعُوا رُؤُوسَهُمْ، فَقَامَ يَتَمَلَّقُنِي، وَيَتْلُو آيَاتِي

Translation

✧ Three whom God loves, and three whom God detests. As for those whom God loves: a people who traveled through their night until, when sleep was dearer to one of them than anything equal to it, they dismounted and laid down their heads. Then he arose to ingratiate himself with Me and recite My verses.
