حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:

قَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أُمِّي افْتُلِتَتْ نَفْسُهَا، وَإِنِّي أَظُنُّهَا لَوْ تَكَلَّمَتْ أَوْصَتْ بِصَدَقَةٍ، فَهَلْ لَهَا أَجْرٌ إِنْ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَنْهَا ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ

✧ A man said: O Messenger of Allah, my mother died suddenly, and I think that if she had been able to speak she would have made a bequest to give charity. Will she have a reward if I give charity on her behalf? He said: Yes.
