✧ The collective chapters of the charity of the breaking of the fast in Ramadan

حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ، وَقَالَ نَصْرٌ: صَدَقَةَ رَمَضَانَ عَلَى الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ، وَالْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدِ، صَاعَ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ صَاعَ شَعِيرٍ ".

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made obligatory the charity of the breaking of the fast — and Nasr said: the charity of Ramadan — upon the young and the old, the free and the slave: a Sa' of dates or a Sa' of barley.
