✧ Ali sent from Yemen to the Prophet ﷺ a piece of gold that had not been purified from its dust. He divided it among four: al-Aqra b. Habis al-Hanzali, Uyaynah b. Hisn al-Muradi, Alqamah b. Ulathah al-Jafari—or Amir b. al-Tufayl, he was uncertain—and Zayd al-Ta'i. Some of his companions from the Ansar and others felt resentment about that. It reached him, and he said, "Will you not trust me, when I am the trustee of the One in the heaven? The news of the One in the heaven comes to me morning and evening."
