حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شَيْبَانَ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ:
مَا تَذْكُرُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: أَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ أَدْخَلَنِي مَعَهُ غُرْفَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَأَخَذْتُ تَمْرَةً، فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا فِي فِيَّ، فَقَالَ: أَلْقِهَا، فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ [ ﷺ ] وَلَا أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

✧ What do you remember of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: I remember that he brought me with him into the room of charity, and I took a date and threw it into my mouth. He said: 'Spit it out, for it is not lawful for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nor for anyone of his household.'
