✧ A man from Muzaynah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'What do you think about what is found in a frequented road or in an inhabited village?' He said: 'Announce it for a year. If its seeker comes, give it to him. Otherwise, it is your business. If its seeker ever comes, then give it to him. As for what is in a road other than a frequented one, or a village other than an inhabited one, then on it and on buried treasure (rikaz) the khums is due.'
