حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، وَأَبُو مُوسَى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَيُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ ؓ حِينَ اسْتُخْلِفَ كَتَبَ لَهُ: " بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، هَذِهِ فَرِيضَةُ الصَّدَقَةِ الَّتِي فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، الَّتِي أَمَرَ اللهُ بِهَا رَسُولَهُ ". فَذَكَرُوا الْحَدِيثَ، وَقَالُوا فِي الْحَدِيثِ: " وَفِي الرِّقَةِ رُبُعُ الْعُشْرِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ إِلَّا تِسْعِينَ وَمِائَةً، فَلَيْسَ فِيهَا صَدَقَةٌ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ رَبُّهَا ". وَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى: " فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَالٌ إِلَّا تِسْعِينَ وَمِائَةً

✧ When Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ؓ was appointed caliph, he wrote for him: "In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is the obligation of charity that the Messenger of God ﷺ imposed upon the Muslims, which God commanded His Messenger." They mentioned the hadith, and they said in the hadith: "And on silver, one quarter of one tenth; if it is only one hundred and ninety, there is no charity on it unless its owner wills." And Abu Musa said: "If there is no wealth except one hundred and ninety."
