✧ The collective chapters on the charity of livestock: camels, cattle, and sheep

حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ صَدَقَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ:
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَتَبَ الصَّدَقَةَ، فَلَمْ يُخْرِجْ إِلَى عُمَّالِهِ حَتَّى قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ. وَقَالَ فِي الْغَنَمِ: فِي كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ سَائِمَةً وَحْدَهَا شَاةٌ إِلَى عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ wrote down the charity but did not send it out to his agents until the Prophet ﷺ passed away. Then he mentioned the hadith in full. He said regarding sheep: for every forty grazing alone, one sheep up to one hundred and twenty.
