  • Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal

machine translationI said to Aḥmad: "They have differed over the chain of this hadith." He said: "Ḥusayn al-Muʿallim narrated it well (jawwadahu)."

  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationThis is a hadith whose chain is disputed. If it is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), it is taken to refer to intentional vomiting, and it is as if he ﷺ was fasting a voluntary fast. And he said in another place: "Its chain is inconsistent (muḍṭarib), and no proof can be established by it."

  • al-Tirmidhi

machine translationThe hadith of Abū al-Dardāʾ is the most authentic (aṣaḥḥ) thing on vomiting and nosebleed.
