2113 1899 1899 - حَدَّثَنَاهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ السُّلَمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ بِهَذَا الْبَقِيعِ يَقُولُ:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ. قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: " الْإِسْنَادَانِ صَحِيحَانِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، وَعَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ جَمِيعًا، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَلَا تَسْمَعُ الْمَقْبُرِيَّ يَقُولُ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَحَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ بِالْبَقِيعِ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ "

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the like of it. Abu Bakr said: 'Both chains are sound from Sa'id al-Maqburi and from Hanzalah b. Ali, all from Abu Hurayrah. Do you not hear al-Maqburi saying: I was with Hanzalah b. Ali at al-Baqi' with Abu Hurayrah?'
