أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

الْمَرْأَةُ عَوْرَةٌ، وَإِنَّهَا إِذَا خَرَجَتِ اسْتَشْرَفَهَا الشَّيْطَانُ، وَإِنَّهَا لَا تَكُونُ إِلَى وَجْهِ اللهِ أَقْرَبَ مِنْهَا فِي قَعْرِ بَيْتِهَا

✧ The woman is 'awrah. When she goes out, the Shaytan seeks to tempt her, and she is not closer to the face of Allah than when she is in the innermost part of her house.
