أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ تَمَّامٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الْكَاهِلِيِّ، عَنْ مِسْوَرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأُسَيْدِيِّ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَسَدِيُّ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - ﷺ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَتَرَكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَقْرَأْهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، تَرَكْتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ قَالَ: " فَهَلَّا أَدْرَكْتُمُونِيهَا ". زَادَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى فَقَالَ: كُنْتُ أُرَاهَا نُسِخَتْ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite in prayer, and he omitted something he did not recite. A man said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, did you omit such-and-such a verse?' He said, 'Why did you not prompt me?' Muhammad b. Yahya added: 'I thought it had been abrogated.'
