أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عِيسَى، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعَلِّمُنَا يَقُولُ: لَا تُبَادِرُوا الْإِمَامَ، إِذَا كَبَّرَ الْإِمَامُ فَكَبِّرُوا، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا، وَإِذَا قَالَ: غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَ فَقُولُوا: آمِينَ، وَإِذَا قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، فَقُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، وَلَا تُبَادِرُوا الْإِمَامَ الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us, saying: 'Do not race the imam. When the imam says the takbir, then you say the takbir; when he bows, then you bow; and when he says: "not of those who earned anger nor of those who went astray," then you say: Ameen. When he says: "Allah hears the one who praises Him," then you say: "O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs praise." And do not race the imam in bowing and prostration.'
