machine translationMuʿāwiyah was alone in narrating it from Sufyān. He said: "I do not consider it preserved (maḥfūẓ). What is preserved with this chain is only: 'Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who join the rows.'"

machine translationUsāmah b. Zayd al-Laythī narrated it, and there is disagreement about him. Sulaymān b. Bilāl, ʿAbd al-Wahhāb b. ʿAṭāʾ, Ḥātim b. Ismāʿīl, Abū Ḍamrah, ʿAbdullāh b. Wahb and Muḥammad b. ʿUmar al-Wāqidī narrated it from Usāmah b. Zayd, from ʿUthmān b. ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah. There is disagreement about al-Thawrī: al-Ashjaʿī, Abū Aḥmad al-Zubayrī, Muʿāwiyah b. Hishām and Qabīṣah narrated it from al-Thawrī, from Usāmah b. Zayd, from ʿUthmān b. ʿUrwah. ʿAbd al-Razzāq, ʿAbdullāh b. al-Walīd al-ʿAdanī and Yazīd Abū Ḥakīm contradicted him, and narrated it from al-Thawrī, from Usāmah b. Zayd, from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah. Likewise al-Sarī al-ʿAsqalānī said, from Ibn Wahb, from Usāmah, from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUrwah. Muḥammad b. Maʿmar al-Baḥrānī narrated it from Qabīṣah, from al-Thawrī, from Usāmah b. Zayd, from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from his father, and that is an error on his part. It is also narrated from Ḥusayn b. Ḥafṣ al-Aṣbahānī, from al-Thawrī, from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, without mentioning Usāmah. The correct one is the statement of those who said: from Usāmah b. Zayd, from ʿUthmān b. ʿUrwah.
