✧ The Collective Chapters on the Prayer of the Two Eids

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُطَرِّفِ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّقِّيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ حَتَّى يَطْعَمَ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ صَلَّى لِلنَّاسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَإِذَا رَجَعَ صَلَّى فِي بَيْتِهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ شَيْئًا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not go out on the day of Eid until he had eaten. Then he would go out and pray two rak'ahs with the people. When he returned, he would pray two rak'ahs in his house, and he would not pray anything before the prayer.
