✧ The Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon when people stood up and shouted, saying: O Prophet of Allah, the rain has been withheld, the trees have turned red, and the animals have perished. So pray to Allah to give us rain. He said: O Allah, give us rain; O Allah, give us rain. By Allah, we saw no trace of cloud in the sky, then a cloud arose and spread, and then it rained. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ descended, prayed, and left, and it did not stop raining until the following Friday. When the Prophet ﷺ stood to deliver the sermon, they shouted: O Prophet of Allah, the houses have collapsed and the roads have been cut off. Pray to Allah to hold it back from us. He smiled and said: O Allah, around us and not upon us. Then it cleared away from Madinah and rained around it, while not a drop fell on Madinah. I looked at Madinah and it was like a crown.
