✧ When it became clear, he stood — meaning the Prophet ﷺ — and addressed the people, praised Allah, extolled Him, and said: 'The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. O community of Muhammad! By Allah, there is no one more jealous than Allah that His servant or His female servant should commit adultery. O community of Muhammad! By Allah — or by the One in whose hand is my soul — if you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much. Indeed, have I conveyed?'
