✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. So the Messenger of God ﷺ stood in prayer, then recited a recitation aloud, then bowed for about the length of his recitation, then raised his head, then recited about the same as his first recitation, then bowed for about the length of his recitation, then raised his head and prostrated, then stood for the second rakʿah and did the same as he did in the first. Then he said, 'The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of God; they do not eclipse for the death of any human being. When that happens, hasten to prayer.' He said, 'That was because Ibrahim had died that day, and the people said, "This was only because of the death of Ibrahim."'
