أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ عَسْكَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَهُ:

أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِإِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِالطَّائِفَةِ الْأُخْرَى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ، وَصَلَّى بِكُلِّ طَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ

✧ That he prayed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed two rak'ahs with one of the two groups, then prayed two rak'ahs with the other group. Thus the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed four rak'ahs, and each group prayed two rak'ahs.
