أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَائِذُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَاحْمَرَّ وَجْهُهُ فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَحَكَّتْهَا، فَجَعَلَتْ مَكَانَهَا خَلُوقًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " مَا أَحْسَنَ هَذَا !

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw phlegm in the qiblah of the mosque, and his face reddened. A woman from the Ansar came and scraped it off, then put perfume (khaluq) in its place. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "How excellent this is!"
