✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came one day from al-'Aliyah, and when he passed by the mosque of Banu Mu'awiyah, he entered and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and we prayed with him. He called upon his Lord for a long time, then turned to us and said: 'I asked my Lord for three things. He gave me two and withheld one. I asked my Lord not to destroy my community by drought, and He granted it to me. I asked Him not to destroy my community by drowning, and He granted it to me. I asked Him not to make their might be against one another, and He withheld it from me.'
