حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَزَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ قَالَ:
أَتَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمُ الْمَغْرِبَ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ: ارْكَعُوا هَاتَيْنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ. قَالَ: " فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ مَحْمُودًا، وَهُوَ إِمَامُ قَوْمِهِ، يُصَلِّي بِهِمُ الْمَغْرِبَ، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ فَيَجْلِسُ بِفِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى يَقُومَ قُبَيْلَ الْعَتَمَةِ، فَيَدْخُلَ الْبَيْتَ، فَيُصَلِّيَهُمَا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to Banū 'Abd al-Ashhal and prayed Maghrib with them. When he finished, he said: Perform these two rak'ahs in your homes. He said: I saw Mahmūd, who was the imam of his people, lead them in Maghrib, then go out and sit in the courtyard of the mosque until he rose shortly before 'Atamah, then enter the house and pray those two.
