✧ One day I went out walking for a need, and there was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walking. I thought he intended a need, so I started to keep away from him. I kept doing that until he saw me, then he gestured to me, so I came to him. He took my hand and we set off walking together. Then we came upon a man in front of us praying, performing many bowings and prostrations. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do you think he is showing off?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Then he released his hand and clasped his hands together three times, raising his hands and lowering them, saying: 'Upon you is a moderate way, upon you is a moderate way, upon you is a moderate way; for whoever contends with this religion will be overcome by it.'"
