✧ He asked Aisha about the Prophet's ﷺ prayer at night. She said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had prayed Isha, he would perform two brief rak'ahs, then sleep with his purification water and tooth-stick near his head. He would get up, use the tooth-stick, perform ablution, and pray, performing two brief rak'ahs. Then he would stand and pray eight rak'ahs, making the recitation equal in them, and pray Witr with the ninth. Then he would pray two rak'ahs while sitting. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ grew older and put on weight, he made the eight six, and prayed Witr with the seventh, and prayed two rak'ahs while sitting, reciting in them Qul ya ayyuha al-kafirun and Idha zulzilat.
