✧ The collective chapters on the obligatory prayer when an illness occurs

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:

أَعْرَسْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَلَمْ نَسْتَيْقِظْ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لِيَأْخُذْ كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ بِرَأْسِ رَاحِلَتِهِ؛ فَإِنَّ هَذَا مَنْزِلٌ حَضَرَنَا فِيهِ الشَّيْطَانُ، فَفَعَلْنَا، فَدَعَا بِالْمَاءِ فَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى سَجْدَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَصَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ.

✧ We stopped to rest at night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we did not wake until the sun rose. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Let each person take hold of his mount's head, for this is a place where Satan came upon us. So we did that. He called for water and performed ablution, then prayed two prostrations. Then the prayer was established, and he prayed the dawn prayer.
