حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
ذَكَرُوا تَفْرِيطَهُمْ فِي النَّوْمِ، فَقَالَ: نَامُوا، حَتَّى إِذَا طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَيْسَ فِي النَّوْمِ تَفْرِيطٌ، إِنَّمَا التَّفْرِيطُ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ، فَإِذَا نَسِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَلَاةً فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا، وَلِوَقْتِهَا مِنَ الْغَدِ ". قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَبَاحٍ: فَسَمِعَنِي عِمْرَانُ وَأَنَا أُحَدِّثُ الْحَدِيثَ، فَقَالَ: يَا فَتَى، انْظُرْ كَيْفَ تُحَدِّثُ، فَإِنِّي شَاهِدٌ الْحَدِيثَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَمَا أَنْكَرَ مِنْ حَدِيثِهِ شَيْئًا

✧ They mentioned their negligence in sleeping, and he said: 'They slept until the sun rose.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'There is no negligence in sleep; negligence is only in wakefulness. So if one of you forgets a prayer, let him pray it when he remembers it, and at its time the next day.' 'Abd Allah b. Rabah said: 'Imran heard me narrating the hadith and said: O young man, look how you narrate, for I was present for the hadith with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he did not deny anything of his narration.'
