Mention of the Quraysh captives on the day of Badr
ذِكْرُ أَسْرَى قُرَيْشٍ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ [ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَأُسِرَ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ: عَقِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ؛ وَنَوْفَلُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ. [ مِنْ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ: السَّائِبُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَاشِمِ بْنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ؛ وَنُعْمَانُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ. رَجُلَانِ.
Translation
✧ Mention of the captives of Quraysh on the day of Badr In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful [From Banū Hāshim] Ibn Isḥāq said: Among the polytheists of Quraysh who were taken captive on the day of Badr, from Banū Hāshim b. ʿAbd Manāf: ʿAqīl b. Abī Ṭālib b. ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib b. Hāshim; and Nawfal b. al-Ḥārith b. ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib b. Hāshim. [From Banū al-Muṭṭalib] And from Banū al-Muṭṭalib b. ʿAbd Manāf: al-Sāʾib b. ʿUbayd b. ʿAbd Yazīd b. Hāshim b. al-Muṭṭalib; and al-Nuʿmān b. ʿAmr b. ʿAlqamah b. al-Muṭṭalib. Two men.
