The number of Aws who were present at Badr
[ مِنْ بَنِي دِينَارِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي دِينَارِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي مَسْعُودِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ ابْنِ دِينَارِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ: النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، وَالضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَسُلَيْمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، وَهُوَ أَخُو الضَّحَّاكِ وَالنُّعْمَانُ ابْنَيْ عَبْدِ عَمْرٍو، لِأُمِّهِمَا، وَجَابِرُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ ابْنِ حَارِثَةَ؛ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ. خَمْسَةُ نَفَرٍ. وَمِنْ بَنِي قَيْسِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ دِينَارِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ: كَعْبُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ: وَبُجَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي بُجَيْرٍ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ. رَجُلَانِ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ بُجَيْرٌ: مِنْ عَبْسِ بْنِ بَغِيضِ بْنِ رَيْثِ بْنِ غَطَفَانَ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي جَذِيمَةَ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ. قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: فَجَمِيعُ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنْ الْخَزْرَجِ مِئَةٌ وَسَبْعُونَ رَجُلًا
Translation
✧ [From Banu Dinar b. al-Najjar] And from Banu Dinar b. al-Najjar, then from Banu Mas'ud b. 'Abd al-Ashhal b. Harithah b. Dinar b. al-Najjar: al-Nu'man b. 'Abd 'Amr b. Mas'ud, and al-Dahhak b. 'Abd 'Amr b. Mas'ud, and Sulaym b. al-Harith b. Tha'labah b. Ka'b b. Harithah b. Dinar, and he is the brother of al-Dahhak and al-Nu'man, the two sons of 'Abd 'Amr, on their mother's side, and Jabir b. Khalid b. 'Abd al-Ashhal b. Harithah; and Sa'd b. Suhayl b. 'Abd al-Ashhal. Five persons. And from Banu Qays b. Malik b. Ka'b b. Harithah b. Dinar b. al-Najjar: Ka'b b. Zayd b. Qays; and Bujayr b. Abi Bujayr, an ally of theirs. Two men. Ibn Hisham said: Bujayr is from 'Abs b. Baghid b. Rayth b. Ghatafan, then from Banu Judhaymah b. Rawahah. Ibn Ishaq said: So the total of those who were present at Badr from the Khazraj was one hundred and seventy men.
