The number of Aws who were present at Badr
[ نَسَبُ الْجَمُوحِ ] قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَكُلُّ مَا كَانَ هَاهُنَا الْجَمُوحُ، ( فَهُوَ الْجَمُوحُ ) بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَرَامٍ، إلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ جَدِّ الصِّمَّةِ ( بْنِ عَمْرٍو )، فَإِنَّهُ الْجَمُوحُ بْنُ حَرَامٍ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: عُمَيْرُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ: ابْنُ لَبْدَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ. [ مِنْ بَنِي عُبَيْدٍ وَحُلَفَائِهِمْ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَمِنْ بَنِي عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ غَنْمِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ سَلِمَةَ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي خَنْسَاءَ بْنِ سِنَانِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ: بُشْرُ بْنُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورِ بْنِ صَخْرِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ وَالطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ، وَالطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ، وَسِنَانُ بْنُ صَيْفِيِّ بْنِ صَخْرِ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَدِّ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ صَخْرِ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ وَعُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَخْرِ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ وَجَبَّارُ بْنُ صَخْرِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ، وَخَارِجَةُ بْنُ حُمَيِّرَ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حُمَيِّرَ، حَلِيفَانِ لَهُمْ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ، مِنْ بَنِي دُهْمَانَ. تِسْعَةُ نَفَرٍ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَيُقَالُ: جَبَّارٌ: ابْنُ صَخْرِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ خُنَاسٍ
Translation
✧ [The lineage of al-Jamūḥ] Ibn Hishām said: Every occurrence here of al-Jamūḥ is al-Jamūḥ b. Zayd b. Ḥarām, except that which pertains to the grandfather of al-Ṣimmah (b. ʿAmr), for he is al-Jamūḥ b. Ḥarām. Ibn Hishām said: ʿUmayr b. al-Ḥārith: he is Ibn Labdah b. Thaʿlabah. [From the Banū ʿUbayd and their allies] Ibn Isḥāq said: From the Banū ʿUbayd b. ʿAdī b. Ghanm b. Kaʿb b. Salimah, then from the Banū Khansāʾ b. Sinān b. ʿUbayd: Bushr b. al-Barāʾ b. Maʿrūr b. Ṣakhr b. Mālik b. Khansāʾ, al-Ṭufayl b. Mālik b. Khansāʾ, al-Ṭufayl b. al-Nuʿmān b. Khansāʾ, Sinān b. Ṣayfī b. Ṣakhr b. Khansāʾ, ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Jadd b. Qays b. Ṣakhr b. Khansāʾ, ʿUtbah b. ʿAbd Allāh b. Ṣakhr b. Khansāʾ, Jabbār b. Ṣakhr b. Umayyah b. Khansāʾ, Khārijah b. Ḥumayyir, and ʿAbd Allāh b. Ḥumayyir, their two allies from Ashjaʿ, from the Banū Duhmān. Nine individuals. Ibn Hishām said: It is also said: Jabbār, son of Ṣakhr b. Umayyah b. Khunās.
