Sirat Ibn Hisham 417
[ مَنْ عَادَ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ وَحُلَفَائِهِمْ ] فَكَانَ مِمَّنْ قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِ مَكَّةَ مِنْهُمْ، فَأَقَامَ بِهَا حَتَّى هَاجَرَ إلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، فَشَهِدَ مَعَهُ بَدْرًا ( وَأُحُدًا ) وَمَنْ حُبِسَ عَنْهُ حَتَّى فَاتَهُ بَدْرٌ وَغَيْرُهُ، وَمَنْ مَاتَ بِمَكَّةَ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ قُصَيٍّ: عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ، ( وَ ) مَعَهُ امْرَأَتُهُ رُقَيَّةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ. وَأَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ، ( وَ ) امْرَأَتُهُ سَهْلَةُ بِنْتُ سُهَيْلٍ ( بْنِ عَمْرٍو ) وَمِنْ حُلَفَائِهِمْ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَحْشِ بْنِ رِئَابٍ
Translation
✧ [Those who returned from Banū ʿAbd Shams and their allies:] Among those who came to him at Makkah from them and stayed there until he emigrated to Madinah, and then witnessed with him Badr (and Uḥud); and those who were detained from him until they missed Badr and other events; and those who died in Makkah from Banū ʿAbd Shams b. ʿAbd Manāf b. Quṣayy: ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān b. Abī al-ʿĀṣ b. Umayyah b. ʿAbd Shams, (and) with him his wife Ruqayyah bt. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. And Abū Ḥudhayfah b. ʿUtbah b. Rabīʿah b. ʿAbd Shams, (and) his wife Sahlah bt. Suhayl (b. ʿAmr). And among their allies: ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaḥsh b. Riʾāb.
