What God revealed concerning the story of the Companions of the Cave
[ مَا أَنْزَلَهُ تَعَالَى فِيمَا عَرَضُوهُ عَلَيْهِ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِ فِيمَا عَرَضُوا ( عَلَيْهِ ) مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ قُلْ مَا سَأَلْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
Translation
✧ [What God Most High revealed concerning what they offered him, peace and blessings be upon him, of their wealth] Ibn Isḥāq said: And God Most High revealed to him concerning what they offered of their wealth: “Say: Whatever reward I have asked of you is yours. My reward is only with God, and He is witness over all things.”
