Mention of the emigrants who were martyred at Uḥud
[ عَدَدُ الشُّهَدَاء يوم أحد ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: فَجَمِيعُ مَنْ اُسْتُشْهِدَ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ. خَمْسَةٌ وَسِتُّونَ رَجُلًا. [ مِنْ بَنِي مُعَاوَيِةَ ] قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَمِمَّنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ مِنْ السَّبْعِينَ الشُّهَدَاءِ الَّذِينَ ذَكَرْنَا، مِنْ الْأَوْسِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: مَالِكُ بْنُ نُمَيْلَةَ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ. [ مِنْ بَنِي خُطَمَةَ من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي خَطْمَةَ - وَاسْمُ خَطْمَةَ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جُشَمِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ خَطْمَةَ. [ مِنْ بَنِي الْخَزَرَجِ من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ الْخَزْرَجِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي سَوَادِ بْنِ مَالِكِ: مَالِكُ بْنُ إيَاسٍ. [ مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرٍو من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ: إيَاسُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ. [ مِنْ بَنِي سَالِمٍ من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي سَالِمِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ: عَمْرُو بْنُ إيَاسٍ
Translation
✧ [The number of the martyrs on the day of Uḥud] Ibn Isḥāq said: The total of those who were martyred among the Muslims with the Messenger of God ﷺ, from the Emigrants and the Helpers, was sixty-five men. [From the Banū Muʿāwiyah] Ibn Hishām said: And among those of the seventy martyrs whom we mentioned whom Ibn Isḥāq did not mention, from the Aws, then from the Banū Muʿāwiyah b. Mālik: Mālik b. Numaylah, an ally of theirs from Muzaynah. [From the Banū Khaṭmah among those killed on the day of Uḥud] And from the Banū Khaṭmah—and the name of Khaṭmah is ʿAbd Allāh b. Jusham b. Mālik b. al-Aws al-Ḥārith b. ʿAdī b. Kharashah b. Umayyah b. ʿĀmir b. Khaṭmah. [From the Banū al-Khazraj among those killed on the day of Uḥud] And from the Khazraj, then from the Banū Sawād b. Mālik: Mālik b. Iyās. [From the Banū ʿAmr among those killed on the day of Uḥud] And from the Banū ʿAmr b. Mālik b. al-Najjār: Iyās b. ʿAdī. [From the Banū Sālim among those killed on the day of Uḥud] And from the Banū Sālim b. ʿAwf: ʿAmr b. Iyās
