Mention of the emigrants who were martyred at Uḥud
[ مِنْ بَنِي ظُفَرَ من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي ظَفَرٍ: يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَاطِبِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي ضَبِيعَةَ من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي ضُبَيْعَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ: أَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَحَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَيْفِيِّ بْنِ نُعْمَانَ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَمَةَ، وَهُوَ غَسِيلُ الْمَلَائِكَةِ، قَتَلَهُ شَدَّادُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ شُعُوبٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ. رَجُلَانِ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: قَيْسُ: ابْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ضُبَيْعَةَ، وَمَالِكُ: ابْنُ أَمَةَ بْنِ ضُبَيْعَةَ. [ مِنْ بَنِي عُبَيْدٍ من قتل يوم أحد ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَمِنْ بَنِي عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ: أُنَيْسُ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ. رَجُلٌ. وَمِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ: أَبُو حَيَّةَ، وَهُوَ أَخُو سَعْدِ بْنِ خَيْثَمَةَ لِأُمِّهِ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: أَبُو حَيَّةَ: ابْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ. قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ، وَهُوَ أَمِيرُ الرُّمَاةِ. رَجُلَانِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي السَّلَمِ من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي السَّلْمِ بْنِ امْرِئِ الْقَيْسِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ: خَيْثَمَةُ أَبُو سَعْدِ بْنُ خَيْثَمَةَ. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي الْعَجْلَانِ من قتل يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ حُلَفَائِهِمْ مِنْ بَنِي الْعَجْلَانِ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ. رَجُلٌ
Translation
✧ [Of the Banū Ẓafar, those killed on the day of Uḥud] And of the Banū Ẓafar: Yazīd b. Khāṭib b. Umayya b. Rāfiʿ. One man. [Of the Banū Ḍabīʿa, those killed on the day of Uḥud] And of the Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf, then of the Banū Ḍubayʿa b. Zayd: Abū Sufyān b. al-Ḥārith b. Qays b. Zayd, and Ḥanẓala b. Abī ʿĀmir b. Ṣayfī b. Nuʿmān b. Mālik b. Ama—he is Ghasīl al-Malāʾika; Shaddād b. al-Aswad b. Shuʿūb al-Laythī killed him. Two men. Ibn Hishām said: Qays is b. Zayd b. Ḍubayʿa, and Mālik is b. Ama b. Ḍubayʿa. [Of the Banū ʿUbayd, those killed on the day of Uḥud] Ibn Isḥāq said: And of the Banū ʿUbayd b. Zayd: Unays b. Qatāda. One man. And of the Banū Thaʿlaba b. ʿAmr b. ʿAwf: Abū Ḥayya, and he is the brother of Saʿd b. Khaythama through his mother. Ibn Hishām said: Abū Ḥayya is b. ʿAmr b. Thābit. Ibn Isḥāq said: And ʿAbd Allāh b. Jubayr b. al-Nuʿmān, and he was the commander of the archers. Two men. [Of the Banū al-Salam, those killed on the day of Uḥud] And of the Banū al-Salm b. Imriʾ al-Qays b. Mālik b. al-Aws: Khaythama, father of Saʿd b. Khaythama. One man. [Of the Banū al-ʿAjlān, those killed on the day of Uḥud] And of their allies from the Banū al-ʿAjlān: ʿAbd Allāh b. Salama. One man.
