✧ I came to Madinah after the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and met Abu Bakr addressing the people. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us in the first year, and he was choked with tears three times, then said: "O people, ask Allah for well-being, for no one has been given anything like certainty after well-being, nor anything more severe than doubt after disbelief. You must be truthful, for it leads to righteousness, and both are in Paradise. Beware of lying, for it leads to wickedness, and both are in the Fire." He meant by it the perpetrators of the two, not the two themselves.
