أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَسْلَمَ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ
تَبِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى يَدِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقْرِئْنِي مِنْ سُورَةِ هُودٍ وَمِنْ سُورَةِ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ شَيْئًا أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ»

✧ I followed the Prophet ﷺ one day while he was riding, and I placed my hand on his hand and said, “O Messenger of Allah, teach me to recite from Surah Hud and from Surah Yusuf.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “You will never recite anything more effective with Allah than Qul a'udhu bi-rabb al-falaq.”
