✧ “The first Scripture would descend from one gate and on one harf, but the Qur’an descended from seven gates on seven ahruf: a restrainer, a command, what is lawful, what is unlawful, what is clear, what is ambiguous, and parables. So make lawful its lawful, make unlawful its unlawful, do what you are commanded, refrain from what you are forbidden, take heed of its parables, act by its clear verses, and believe in its ambiguous ones. Say: We believe in it; all is from our Lord.”
