أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْغَيْثِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ {وَآخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ} فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ فَعَادَ وَمَضَى سَلْمَانُ فَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى مَنْكِبِهِ وَقَالَ «لَوْ كَانَ الْإِيمَانُ مُعَلَّقًا بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ رِجَالٌ مِنْ قَوْمِ هَذَا»

✧ When we were with the Messenger of God ﷺ, it was revealed to him: {And others among them who have not yet joined them} (62:3). A man said, "Who are these, O Messenger of God?" He did not answer him. He repeated, and Salman passed by, so the Prophet ﷺ patted his shoulder and said, "If faith were suspended from the Pleiades, men from the people of this one would attain it."
