أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الشَّرْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ زَاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو نَهِيكٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَخْطَبَ قَالَ

اسْتَسْقَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ وَفِيهِ شَعْرَةٌ فَرَفَعْتُهَا فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ جَمِّلْهُ» قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَتِسْعِينَ وَمَا فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ شَعْرَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked for water, so I brought him a vessel containing water with a hair in it. I removed the hair and handed it to him. He looked at me ﷺ and said: "O Allah, make him beautiful." He said: I saw him when he was ninety-three years old, and there was not a white hair on his head or beard.
