✧ "By Allah, Allah has not created any believer who hears of me and sees me except that he loves me." I said, "How do you know that, O Abu Hurayrah?" He said, "My mother was a polytheist woman, and I used to call her to Islam, but she refused. One day I called her, and she said about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ what I disliked. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ crying and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I used to call my mother to Islam but she refuses, and when I called her she said about you what I disliked. Pray to Allah to guide the mother of Abu Hurayrah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Allah, guide her.' When I reached the door, it was ajar, and I heard the splashing of water and the sound of a man's or men's footsteps. She said, 'O Abu Hurayrah, stay where you are,' and she opened the door, put on her garment, and hurried with her veil. She said, 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.' I returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ crying from joy as I had cried from sadness, and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, rejoice, for Allah has answered your supplication and guided the mother of Abu Hurayrah.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me and my mother beloved to His believing servants and to make them beloved to us.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Allah, make Your servant and his mother beloved to Your believing servants and make them beloved to them.'"
