✧ The admonition to prevent reliance on the writings of a person without preserving them

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«مَفَاتِيحُ الْغَيْبِ خَمْسٌ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَا يَعْلَمُ مَا تَغِيضُ الْأَرْحَامُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَلَا مَا فِي غَدٍ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَتَى يَأْتِي الْمَطَرُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَلَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ وَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَتَى تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ»

✧ "The keys of the unseen are five, no one knows them except Allah: no one knows what the wombs will diminish except Allah; nor what will be tomorrow except Allah; nor when the rain will come except Allah; nor does any soul know in which land it will die; nor does anyone know when the Hour will arise except Allah."
