أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ فَوَضَعْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَهُورًا فَقَالَ «مَنْ وَضَعَ هَذَا؟ » قَالَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ ﷺ «اللَّهُمَّ فَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ وَعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيلَ»

✧ I was in the house of Maymunah bint al-Harith and placed for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ water for purification. He said: "Who placed this?" Maymunah said: 'Abdullah. He ﷺ said: "O Allah, grant him understanding in religion and teach him the interpretation."
