أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي يَزِيدَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
أَتَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْخَلَاءَ فَوَضَعْتُ لَهُ وُضُوءًا فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ قَالَ «مَنْ وَضَعَ هَذَا»؟ قَالُوا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ فَقِّهْهُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ went to relieve himself, and I placed water for his ablution. When he came out, he said: "Who placed this?" They said: Ibn 'Abbas. He said: "O Allah, grant him understanding in religion."
