✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a bed frame woven with palm leaves, over which was a black blanket stuffed with palm leaves. Abu Bakr and Umar entered upon him, and the Prophet ﷺ was sleeping on it. When he saw them, he sat up. They looked and saw the marks of the bed frame on the side of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu Bakr and Umar wept and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, does the hardness of what we see of your bed and mattress not hurt you? Yet Chosroes and Caesar are on beds of silk and brocade.' He said, 'Do not say that. The beds of Chosroes and Caesar are in the Fire, while my bed and this bed frame of mine will end in Paradise.'
