أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ وَالْجَنَدِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ صَخْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ

«إِنَّ أَمْرَكُنَّ لَمِمَّا يَهُمُّنِي بَعْدِي وَلَنْ يَصْبِرَ عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي إِلَّا الصَّابِرُ» قَالَ ثُمَّ تَقُولُ فَسَقَى اللَّهُ أَبَاكَ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ تُرِيدُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ وَكَانَ قَدْ وَصَلَ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمَالٍ بِيعَ بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفًا

Translation

✧ “Your affairs are among what concerns me after I am gone, and none will be patient with you after me except the patient.” He said: Then she says, “May God give your father to drink from the Salsabil of Paradise,” meaning ‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Awf. He had provided for the wives of the Prophet ﷺ with wealth sold for forty thousand.
