أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَدْلَعُ لِسَانَهُ لِلْحُسَيْنِ فَيَرَى الصَّبِيُّ حُمْرَةَ لِسَانِهِ فَيَهَشُّ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ أَلَا أَرَاهُ يَصْنَعُ هَذَا بِهَذَا فَوَاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَيَكُونُ لِيَ الْوَلَدُ قَدْ خَرَجَ وَجْهُهُ وَمَا قَبَّلْتُهُ قَطُّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ لَا يُرْحَمُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ would stick out his tongue for al-Husayn, and the boy would see the redness of his tongue and be delighted. Uyaynah b. Badr said to him, "Do I see him doing this to this one? By Allah, I have a son whose face has appeared and I have never kissed him." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy."
