أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ فِي حَائِطٍ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ فَقَالَ «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ» فَإِذَا هُوَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَ آخَرُ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ» فَإِذَا هُوَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ آخَرُ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ» فَإِذَا هُوَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a garden, and I was with him. A man came and asked permission to enter. He said, 'Open for him and give him glad tidings of Paradise.' And it was Abu Bakr. Then another came and asked permission. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Open for him and give him glad tidings of Paradise.' And it was Umar b. al-Khattab. Then another came and asked permission. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Open for him and give him glad tidings of Paradise.' And it was Uthman b. Affan.
