أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الضُّبَعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَسُوقُ بَقَرَةً إِذْ أَعْيَا فَرَكِبَهَا فَالْتَفَتَتْ إِلَيْهِ» فَقَالَتْ إِنَّا لَمْ نُخْلَقْ لِهَذَا إِنَّمَا خُلِقْنَا لِحِرَاثَةِ الْأَرْضِ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَإِنِّي أُؤْمِنُ بِهَذَا أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ» وَلَيْسَا فِي الْقَوْمِ قَالَ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ آمَنَّا بِمَا آمَنَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

✧ While a man was driving a cow, he became weary and mounted it. It turned to him and said: 'We were not created for this; we were created for tilling the earth.' The people said: 'Glory be to Allah! Glory be to Allah!' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed I believe in this, I, Abu Bakr, and 'Umar," though they were not among the people. Then the people said: 'We believe in what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has believed in.'
