حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ وَفَاءِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ نَقْتَرِئُ فَقَالَ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ وَاحِدٌ وَفِيكُمُ الْأَحْمَرُ وَالْأَبْيَضُ وَالْأَسْوَدُ اقْرَؤُوهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقْرَأَهُ أَقْوَامٌ يُقَوِّمُونَهُ كَمَا يُقَوَّمُ السَّهْمُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us while we were reciting the Quran and said: “Praise be to Allah, the Book of Allah is one, and among you are the red, the white, and the black. Recite it before peoples recite it who will straighten it as an arrow is straightened.”
