✧ 'You will make a secure peace with the Byzantines, until you and they together fight an enemy behind them, and you will be victorious and take spoils and return, until you camp in a meadow with mounds. Then a man from the Byzantines will say, "The cross has prevailed," and a man from the Muslims will say, "Rather, Allah has prevailed." Then a Muslim will rush to their cross, which is not far from him, and break it. The Byzantines will rush to the one who broke their cross and strike his neck. The Muslims will rush to their weapons, and they will fight. Allah will honor that group of Muslims with martyrdom. The Byzantines will say to their leader, "We have spared you the Arabs." Then they will gather for the great battle, and they will come to you under eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand.'
