✧ We were with Jabir b. 'Abd Allah, and he said, "Soon the people of Iraq will not have a qafiz or a dirham collected for them." We said, "From what cause?" He said, "From the non-Arabs; they will prevent that." Then he said, "Soon the people of Syria will not have a dinar or a mudy collected for them." We said, "From what cause?" He said, "From the Byzantines?" Then he paused for a moment and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'In the last of my Ummah there will be a caliph who will pour out wealth without counting it.'"
